The Serra de Estrella Virtual Reality System(SRV-SE) consists on an innovative and dynamic project that results from the collaboration of several entities, using the highest and most recent 3D and Virtual Reality Technologies. The system was developed for Seia Municipality to be part of the Interpretation Centre(CISE) of this important natural area. SRV-SE is an important example of the usage of geographical information and virtual reality technologies in the development of modern tourist applicaitons. Virtual Reality is a technology capable of bypass several limitations that characterize other information means by deluding the senses through a group of sensations like vision, hearing and movement, carrying the person inside a virtual "world, space".
